Is my phone eSIM ready?

Two things matter: the phone has to support eSIM, and it can’t be locked to a carrier. Type your model to check the first.

An EID means this phone can hold an eSIM.

The one sure test: dial *#06#. An EID number means the phone can hold an eSIM.

Before you buy

  • Known limits

    • Carrier-locked phones can’t install another company’s eSIM until they’re unlocked.
    • Phones bought in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau often ship without eSIM support.
    • A profile installs once. Reinstalling it needs a reissue.
    • Some company-managed phones block adding a new mobile plan.
  • Confirm it’s unlocked

A website can’t check whether a phone is carrier-locked. Look in your phone’s settings, or ask your carrier before you buy.
